Join us for an evening at the Fantasy–8 (F8) races with Hello Kitty & Friends!
This year’s Lantern Fantasy at Chinese Garden features the ever-lovable Hello Kitty and friends participating in various sporting races. They will all be here – Hello Kitty, Dear Daniel, My Melody, Bad Badtz-Maru, Pom Pom Purin, Minna No Tabo, Keroppi and Cinnamoroll! Crafted by the skilful lantern craftsmen from the Szechuan province of China, be sure not to miss the traditions of Chinese lanterns with a twist! See also the legendary Chang Er in the Garden of Fairies, play in the entertainment lands and snack at our F&B stalls. Special cultural performing troops from Xiamen, China will also enhance the Mid-Autumn festivities. Come and be a part of the experience that will glitter, shimmer and light up your nights!

History
Through the humble beginnings of Lantern Festival, with celebrations that started with some children carrying simple paper lanterns, the Lantern Festival held in Chinese Garden has since come a long way. Today, it stands as an iconic festival ground during this time of the year.
The founders of Lanterns In Motion Pte Ltd are the original team that were reputed to have turned around Mid-Autumn Festival in Singapore – from a modest and traditional scale – to an impressive and innovative festival. We are proud of being the pioneers in the world to have so creatively expressed Walt Disney and Sanrio (Hello Kitty) chracters in the form of lanterns.
We are the people who injected new life – an alternative method – to appreciating an age-old tradition, and we are the people oozing with fresh, fun and convincing ideas! It is our ability to take something ordinary, to turn it into something extra extraordinary!
For Lantern Fantasy 2008 at Chinese Garden, we will present to you a fresh and fun concept of joining Hello Kitty & Friends in an evening at the races… complete with the more traditional Chinese cultural lanterns, other stage activities, entertainment lands, F&B outlets and souvenir stalls! It will be an evening well-spent at the Garden… we are absolutely certain!
Entertainment and Shows
A troop of 18 unique performing artistes from Xiamen, China will be entertaining our visitors to Lantern Fantasy at Chinese Garden! Comprising a myriad of acts including acrobats, stand-up comedy, song & dance in multi-languages, opera as well as just plain ol’clowning around, they are sure to enhance your Mid-Autumn experience with us!
Also performing nightly are the dynamic and energetic Lion Dancers and drummers, groomed in our very own Singapore!
